Liffey Descent 2009 update

Hey Guys,
Saturday the 13th of September brought us some lovely weather, a lovely 4mg release and of course The Liffey Descent 2008 – The 49th Liffey Descent. It was a great race to watch and shoot!! I was up at Straffan weir and sadly there were a lot of broken K1′s and K2′s at the start (sorry guys) . After a few minutes of shooting at Straffan I hopped into the car and drove to Lucan weir where I jumped in the water. It was lovely and warm :)

If you are looking for the results of the descent ’08 they should be posted over on canoe.ie soon.

Photos are only €20 for 10×8 prints

**As always, if you want to view the picture larger just click on them **
Anyway, enough talking and on to the photos

Tunney Photography Blog | New look

I’ve finally gotten around to it, a nice new design for the blog. The first custom skin I’ve made for Kyle Tunney Photography Blog. I was using the default theme for WordPress called “Kubrick“, which did the trick for a little bit.

Being a web designer it was inevitable that I was going to do some custom skinning. Their is one or two little things to tweak but I was happy to go online with this. I’m also very tempted to not support Internet Explorer 6 but theirs just too many people still using it, Grrrr!!

Pre-The Liffey Descent 2008

Howdy folks,
I shall be out taking photo’s of the Liffey Descent this year. I’ll more than likely be taking shots at Sluice or Lucan weir. If you are a paddler and/or paddling the descent I’d love to hear where you think the best shots would be from. Taking into account I shall be in the water most of the the day. I covered the junior liffey descent 2008 at Lucan weir earlier this year, where it’s nice and shallow. If I was at sluice I’d probably hop into the second eddy (river right) as I’ve had a good walk around sluice while doing a REC3 and know the dept fairly well.
