Wicklow Snail

Hello, Hello!
Well as I’m sure you’ve noticed I’ve dropped off the face of the earth. No email, blogging, msn or even twittering. I’ve be doing a lot of kayaking and the like in Wicklow the past week or two. Here’s a quick little update to keep me on track with my blogging. Hopefully I’ll have plenty more processed this week.

Become a photographer for lunch

I stubmled upon a really cool website yesterday and think you’ll all have fun on it. It allows you to take lots of photo on two photoshoots, create your own magazine with the shots and then publish(email) to friends and family.

My online photography magazine photoshoot

This is the quick magazine I came up with on my first go. I also showed the link to a friend and he came up with this bad boy. I have to say I couldn’t stop laughing for a few minutes!! He’s a natural born magazine photographer!

Head on over to http://www.jag-jeans.com/ & don’t forget to leave comments and a link to your magazine!

Snowy HDR Pano

Hey guys & gals,
I got a lot of great feedback from my last HDR image taken in Budapest and thus decided to go all out on this on.

You often here of a great HDR image, right? You also see those great wide all encompassing panos with just so much landscape in them. I went a bit mad and tried to get everything into this, a HUGE HDR Panoramic stitched shot of the Dublin mountains.

Did it work out well? – Let me know if you think it did, leave a comment below!!

What’s so special about this photo?
Well, it’s a stitched pano made up of 17 photos, it has snow, it’s taken in the Dublin mountains, it’s a HDR image, it’s full size is 12306×3095px and I almost got the car stuck in the snow three times trying to drive to this location. So to sum the photo up, it took a lot of hard work to get and I hope people like her :-) .

NON-HDRPano Image of 17 photos from the Dublin Mountains, Ireland (800px max)
This is from camera with a litte desaturation, and stitched – Lets just say BEFORE

Let me know what you guys think (especially negative feedback!!! You can’t learn unless somebody is picking your picture to pieces!!!)

Thanks for looking guys!!
Kyle

Thanks so much for all the feedback. I’m sure you all know the feeling of working on an image for too long and not having fresh eyes to see the image anymore. I’ve added the updated image above with some desaturation and also cloned out that van. Hopefully you’ll say, “What van? if I’ve done it well ;-) .

Snowy Marley Park

February's Snowy Fence, Dublin, Ireland

Back in February when it was snowing I went up to Marley Park in Rathfarnham, Dublin, Ireland. It was a lovely snow filled morning, pretty nippy but well worth the icey hands for these few Marley Park photos.

This is my favourite photo of the day. Four beautifully coloured dying leaves deep in the heart of Marley Parks forest. You can see a little bit of snow in the background.
