Fun Family Photo Session in the Snow Dublin

This was such a fun family portrait session I had with the cool Robins family. We went to Pease Park/Enda’s Park in Rathfarnham while the snow was out (two weeks ago) and played some games. We even had a birthday on the day!!

Old Chairs

A slight bit of a random photo but there’s something quirky I like about it. That may have a bit to do with the 10/15 minutes I took to nudge the chairs millimeters, run back to the camera, back to the chairs, back to the camera, till I finally got it!

Gigapan of snow covered Dublin

Most times I go out for a good hike in the Irish mountains I end up taking a 4-40 image panoramic. I then stitch them together, zoom in and out of it in Photoshop and am wowed. I’ve always wanted to be able to share this cool zooming capability with other people. Here’s a small one I put up on the blog a year ago, it’s a low res 60 panoramic image taken in Colorado, USA.

Snowy Dublin – What can we see here?

There’s so much to see in this one image of Dublin, the following are just a few small crops:

Wrap up warm!

This morning I went to Roundwood in County Wicklow for a photo shoot in the snow & ice with Mairead Vickers and Emily. The wind was pretty damn cold but when the sun came out, we were lovely and toasty!! Here’s a shot of the beautiful Emily.

Snowy Dublin from the Dublin Mountains 2010

Last Friday I went on an amazing hike up the Dublin Mountains in the deep snow. Starting at Grange road in Rathfarnham, I went up the old Whitechurch road to Kilmashogue. From there we hiked up to three rock and came across some amazingly beautiful sights – The Irish Landscape like I’ve never seen before. The following is a little insight into what I saw on the day!

Huge panoramic

Next week I shall post a panoramic image you can zoom in and out of yourself. You can see Dundrum, the spire, Dublins convention centre and even Ikea all from the one image! Stay tuned!
