After yesterdays spontaneous shot of my beer I decided to get up early and head to Brittas Bay to do a bit of product photography. Sure, what else would you do at 5am on the beach?

The Very first and last shots are HDR photographs. I also took this HDR photo of brittas bay the same morning.

Yup, I sure did go in for a swim (spur of the moment), the water was so warm! Sorry, no pictures of that, ladies ;-)

This poor little fella was stunned after flying into our kitchen window the other day. I brought him out to the garden to chill out, what better way to relax than a photoshoot with Kyle? After a few minutes he flew off and was fine :-)

Back in February when it was snowing I went up to Marley Park in Rathfarnham, Dublin, Ireland. It was a lovely snow filled morning, pretty nippy but well worth the icey hands for these few Marley Park photos.

This is my favourite photo of the day. Four beautifully coloured dying leaves deep in the heart of Marley Parks forest. You can see a little bit of snow in the background.

Yes, that’s right folks it was as far back as Christmas when I actually bought this little baby

 

 

 

I really haven’t used this lense at all this year, 120/180 shots would be my guestimate. Now with the lovely weather, lovely flowers and insects passing by theirs no better reason to start using this lense.

 

Here are some of the shots from Monday May 12th:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have so say I’m extremely impressed with this lense, it’s very sharp. One quibble I found was when trying to autofocus on a quick(large) moving object, the autofocus was fairly slow. Although in saying that, this is a macro lense. When taking all the above flower shots – manual focus was used so there were no problems.

This was my first time taking shots of a model/friend. I really enjoyed it and plan to have a few more test shoots with friends in the coming weeks
