I lived in Lough Bray House for a while with a group of people. It was in the early 70's. Amazing place. We would hike up and around the lake.

Fair play. I walked about half that trail one day last year. Very nice place. Meaning to go back to and spend some time taking photos.

Was up Croagh Patrick there on Friday, my calfs are still killing me!

The shot is of lower Lough Bray. Both of the lakes are formed by glaciers, the upper lake is a good example of a hanging lake. There used to be a tea rooms at the bottom lake, it has now passed into private ownership and has no trespassing signs. You can clearly see the upper lake on you right hand side (parking on the left) about quarter of a mile past the turn for the Glencree reconciliation centre.

Jeez it's amazing what you can remember from geography filrd trips in school.

By the way Kyle, excellent shot.

Thanks Siohban & Paul. Yup Paul, it's just inside the Wicklow border. If you follow Stocking Lane from Rathfarnham, that will get you there!
